Meet Our Co-President: Elizabeth Wolfe

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Agnes Scott chapter.

Elizabeth Hope Wolfe is a sophomore at Agnes Scott from McDonough, GA. She is planning on majoring in English and is the Co-Editor in Chief of the Agnes Scott Her Campus chapter.

First let’s get some basics down for the fans:

Birthday: January 24th, but I accept gifts year-round

Interesting fact: My family is from Australia

Where do you want to travel: EVERYWHERE…but Spain for now

Favorite joke or quote: “Too many young people have addiction to superficial things and not enough conviction for substantial things such as justice, truth and love.”

Celebrity inspiration: Emma Watson

Tea or coffee?: Both, always, at all times

Favorite book: I can’t answer this

Now let’s get down to some serious questions…

HC: A penguin walks through the door and is wearing a sombrero… What does he say and why is he here?

Elizabeth: Obviously I’m having a fever dream. He asks me what my major is and then I sob about my inability to decide on a major while he pats me on the back awkwardly and offers me chips from the rim of his sombrero. Now that I think about it, this is starting to sound closer to my actual life and less like a dream.

HC: What’s the last thing you watched on TV and why did you watch that?

Elizabeth: I try to watch The Daily Show with Trevor Noah every morning. It gives me a very general summary of the events of the day before, but it starts my day off on a lighter, funnier note before I get down and dirty and read the New York Times.

HC: What would I find in your refrigerator right now?

Elizabeth: Well, considering it’s a community fridge, there’s a good amount of some stranger’s leftover taking up a bunch of space. I do think I have some Extreme Deluxe Chocolate Moose Tracks ice cream hiding in the back of the freezer.

UPDATE: My RA just taped up the freezer so nobody can get in. So now I have to rescue my ice cream that is being held hostage.

HC: If there was a movie produced about your life, who would play you and why?

Elizabeth: I would play myself, obviously. Unless Tina Fey was free because, honestly, she could probably do it better.

Woo, those were hard. Now to give you a break, here are some more light hearted ones:

HC: What has been your best memory at Agnes?

Elizabeth: I love to think back and remember how I felt in the first couple of weeks. It was a mixture of the feeling of nervous possibility, but I also just loved the freedom of exploring my new life and not having much work to do.

HC: Top 3 places you’d want to live?

Elizabeth: Atlanta, France, Australia

HC: If you could tell your 10 year old self something, what would you say?

Elizabeth: Girl, you look so good in those cargo pants. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.

HC: Top 3 restaurants in Atlanta and favorite dish from each?

Elizabeth: Pork cheek tacos from Iberian Pig, Bluebird Burrito from Ria’s Bluebird Cafe, and Sesame Fries from Takoria

Pork Cheek Tacos

HC: If you could learn everything about one culture/ place which would you learn about and why?

Elizabeth: I don’t really like to idea of picking a particular culture, but I would really like to know the history of my family on both my mother and my father’s side.

HC: What environmentally sustainable acts irks you the most when people don’t do it?

Elizabeth: Not turning off lights! Or throwing recyclables in the trash.

HC: Who’s the first celebrity that comes to your mind when you think of Atlanta?

Elizabeth: Outkast, so I guess André 3000.

HC: If you could describe the past year in the USA in 5 words, what would they be?

Elizabeth: Troubling, Eye-opening, Woke, Divided,….I can’t think of a fifth.
