One of our favorite things about Bryant is the University’s dedication to diversity. On Thursday February 23rd, SASS, in conjunction with the PWC CDI and the Pride Center, will be hosting Michael Sam, the first openly gay NFL player. After finishing his college football career at University of Missouri, he came out as gay. He was then drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 2014.
Sam will be speaking to Bryant Students about overcoming adversity. He can relate to a number of populations at Bryant, and we hope that the turnout for the event is culturally diverse. Tickets are open for students, faculty, and the public can be bought at the Information Desk in Fisher Student Center.
