Sympathy for the Skin is a vanilla and banana custard concoction that will soothe the skin and leave a rich, delectable fragrance on your skin. This lotion helps chapped or dry skin in distress. All you have to do is get as much as your heart’s content in your hand, smooth onto the area in question, and voila! Your skin will be thanking you for this moisture.

The main, active ingredients in Sympathy for the Skin are cocoa butter, almond oil, and vanilla-banana cream. All of the bananas used to make this lotion are organic to ensure that each handful you use is delivering the most healthy and fresh ingredients.

The banana and vanilla duo team up to moisturize even the driest of skin and make it more flexible and soft. The vanilla also acts as a soothing agent to calm irritated skin.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge Lush fanatic, and this product has been added to my list of all time favorites. I was very nervous about the banana scent being too strong, but it is actually more subtle than I thought it would be. The vanilla really balances out the fragrance, making it just the right amount of both scents. I am not big on banana scented or flavored things, so I was very impressed.

I have eczema, so I usually have extremely naturally dry skin. I have searched and searched for a good moisturizer that wouldn’t break out my skin, and I really wanted something more natural. Usually, those products aren’t strong enough to soothe my skin, but this one actually helped a lot. The first time I used this product, I saw a very noticeable difference in the moisture of my skin.

I love to try out new beauty products, and most of the time I really love them. However, there have been a handful of bad experiences with some products. I recently tried a new product that caused me to have an allergic reaction and break out in hives all over my body. It was a miserable experience, but the silver lining in this whole story is that I used Lush’s Sympathy for the Skin to try and re-hydrate my skin in hopes that the itching would stop, and it helped almost instantly. I was too nervous to use a lotion with too many different chemicals in it, so I went for this natural option and I am so glad I did!

The only downside to this product is that it can be a little bit pricey. An 8.4 oz bottle of this lotion is $29.95 and it doesn’t last as long as I would really hope for. I definitely think it is worth the price, and I would 100% recommend this product for all skin types. I usually use it every day after I get out of the shower.

Once again, Lush has not failed in impressing me with an exceptional product!
