“Sprite Dates are great for everyone. If you want to get an idea of what sorority you’d like to rush, you should go. If you are on the fence about rushing and need to learn more, you should go,” said Vice President of Panhellenic Recruitment, Tatiana Pavloff. Sprite Dates allow sorority members and future rushees to get to know each other in a more casual setting before formal recruitment, and its completely free.

This year’s Sprite Dates will be on September 30th and October 1st and will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. both days. On the first day, girls will be able to visit the chapters that live in Hamilton and McCracken Hall. On day two, Richard hall will be open for the chapters that live there.

Sprite Dates are a way for any unaffiliated women to meet potential sisters and learn more about the recruitment process. Girls will be greeted at the doors of the newly renovated dorm floor that each sorority lives on by a Rho Gamma and chapter president and then taken on a short tour. Once inside, girls will be asked questions and also have the opportunity to have their own questions answered.

Each sorority will have its own theme in order to show off what they are all about. The two days will be packed with meeting new people, getting all of the information you need to know, and, of course, food. “Sprite dates are super fun for everyone and the sorority members love getting to know girls prior to recruitment,” Pavloff said.
