3 Celebrity Comebacks That We Should All Learn From

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

As much as we love and look up to celebrities, they are not perfect. They make mistakes and have regrets, just like the rest of us. The way celebrities comeback from their lows is what’s inspiring to their fans, especially when their hardships are relatable. Being in college has highs and lows as we all know, so it’s important to bounce back when times are tough.

Here are some inspirational celebrity comeback stories to remind you that anything is possible!

1. Britney Spears

2007 was an all-time low for this pop icon. She stayed in a drug rehabilitation facility for less than a day, shaved off all of her hair, and later reentered rehab. But, in the past 10 years she’s been able to pick herself up and rebuild her image, with performances, interviews, and everything in between. She was a panel judge on ‘X Factor’, has a hugely successful Las Vegas residency, and has released many successful albums. If you learn anything from Britney Spears’ journey, it should be that ~you can get through anything~. No matter how hard things might be for you, whether it’s an exam or personal issue, you will be able to overcome it.

2. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is currently the reigning queen of comebacks. Whether you’re a Swift fanatic or a “Kimye” lover, you have to give her credit for her fierce comeback. Her long feud with Kanye West erupted with the controversy over the lyrics in his song “Famous” and the drama that then followed. In the wake of this social media conflict, Taylor Swift revamped her image with the release of her single “Look What You Made Me Do” to show that she won’t be played in the entertainment industry. Her resilience shows us that you might be burned by other people, but you should ~always pick yourself up and carry on in style~.

3. Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus’ song “Malibu” released in early May and it brought out so many ~nostalgic feels~. The lyrics and music video show a softer side of Miley, which her fans haven’t seen in a long time. Her style, sound, and lyrics show that she’s finding a new part of herself and focusing on having more of an inspirational career, especially after her Bangerz phase. Miley’s comeback shows that you will go through phases to see what works best for your personality, but in the end ~you will always find who you are~. In college, you’ll meet new groups of people and have new experiences, but it’s always important to stay true to who you are through it all.
