5 Must-See Halloween Makeup Tutorials on YouTube

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVU chapter.

Halloween is quickly approaching and you may have already come up with the best costume idea, but how are you gonna do your makeup to top it all off? I’m here to give you the 5 best Halloween makeup looks on YouTube. YouTube is full of awesome tutorials for any look you want to create, but these are some of the best (in my opinion). The greatest part is that mostly all the products used in these tutorials are ones you probably already have at home so they’re budget-friendly looks!

Desi Perkins “Melting Skull”

Skulls are everywhere on Halloween, but you’ve probably never seen one quite like this. This look is super fun and creative and adds some glam to your costume while keeping it Halloween appropriate. You may need to buy some face paint and flesh gel, which would be sold at your local Halloween store for a low price. This look may take a little practice, but once you’ve got it down you will be sure to have the best costume of the night.

Nikkie Tutorials “Wonder Woman”

Everyone loves superheroes. They’re cute, popular, and easy to throw together. (Not to mention boys love them). With this tutorial, you can literally become Wonder Woman without paying a fortune for a Wonder Woman costume. Nikkie mostly used black gel liner for this look, making it “super” inexpensive to recreate!

Leyla Rose “Vampire”

A vampire is as simple and basic as it gets when it comes to Halloween costumes. Some fake blood, vampire teeth, red contacts, and you’re good to go. But if you’re trying to avoid the dreaded ‘basic’ label, this is the perfect tutorial for you. You can be a vampire while still looking glamorous and that’s everyone’s Halloween goal, right?

Lustrelux “Glam Mummy”

Mummies are another one of those costumes that are super easy and cheap to create; just wrap a roll of toilet paper around your body and you’re good to go. Now, with this tutorial, you can add a little spunk to your mummy look with products you already have at home! (And the wig is a nice touch as well!)

Amanda Ensing “Cheshire Cat”

Almost every girl’s go to costume is a cat. Usually they’ll just throw on some whiskers with black eyeliner and cute kitten ears, but this tutorial puts a fun “Alice in Wonderland” twist on things. With this look, you’ll be sure to stand out from the hundred other cats at the party.
