This month is full of exciting events, There are tailgates, football games concerts and don’t forget everything Halloween-related. More importantly, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We thought what better way to promote this cause than by having a little girl time? Her Campus FIU is proud to announce our first event in raising awareness for a cause that has affected most of us in some way or another, while also spreading positivity amongst the female population in our community.
Grab your girlfriends and head on over to Vicky’s Cafe on campus on October 17 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. and take advantage of raffles, shopping, giveaways, empowering activities and an excuse to network with other amazing women within the community. Her Campus will be hosting a raffle in which the winner receives a gift basket.
The first 55 people to attend will receive a free Her Campus tumbler so be sure to get there in time for some freebies!
In case you want to do a little shopping, the boutique Sincerely ALC will be having a pop-up shop. You can shop for bikinis or get a start on revamping your fall wardrobe with new arrivals. Some items will even be 50-75% off and attendees will receive a general 10% off their purchase during the event. In case you thought the freebies were over, a free bikini will also be given to one lucky raffle winner.
PINK FIU will also be present and will be offering 50% off coupons for the PINK FIU collection. Simple ways to obtain raffle tickets include getting a free bra measurement, receiving three out of five points in “Bra Pong” or designing your own bra.
“Design Your Own Bra” is an interactive activity where attendees will have the opportunity of designing a bra cutouts where they can uniquely decorate and display empowering messages. Once the bras are finished, they will be hung on clothes pins for everyone to admire and reflect upon each other’s messages we all deserve to hear from one another.
This event is the perfect excuse to wind down and interactive with amazing women just like you while also supporting an amazing cause. Can’t wait to see you there!
