Podcasts to Listen to Based on Your Sign

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Podcasts seem to be growing more and more popular, and it’s no surprise why! They are full of interesting facts, intriguing stories, hilarious comedians, groundbreaking thinkers and more. But it can be challenging and daunting to find one that you will enjoy; so we thought it would be wise to turn to astrology to answer that dilemma and find the perfect pod for your personality.

1. Aries – Strong Opinions Loosely Held

You’ve heard it before, Aries: you’re opinionated. But hey, that’s a good thing! Elisa Kreisinger has made a career out of her strong opinions as she explores what’s really going on in popular culture by interviewing badasses, brilliant feminists, writers and more. Her arguments are as mind-blowing as they are unapologetic — two traits you can certainly appreciate.

2. Taurus – This American Life

Taurus, you love when something is strong and reliable (just like you!),  and This American Life is exactly that. With a new episode every Monday for the last (almost) 20 years, This American Life always comes through with an engaging, unique and well-researched story. Something about Ira Glass’ voice just melts your mind in the most relaxing yet interesting fashion. However, the subject matter is never dull. You, Taurus, have diverse interests; and this is the perfect place to go to when you want to learn about everything,  from grief practices in Japan to rhyming couplet novels, from racially motivated hate crimes to hilarious family traditions.

3. Gemini – 2 Dope Queens

Oh Gemini, you will not be able to resist the sassy, hilarious banter between bad b*tch hosts, writers, and comedians Phoebe Robinson and Jessica Williams. These gals host almost exclusively comics and actors of color. They give voice to these underrepresented artists while simultaneously making you laugh until it hurts (or until someone shoots you a shady look at the coffee shop).

4. Cancer – Death, Sex & Money

You sure love your feelings, Cancer. You want convos that will get you to the bottom of things. You don’t shy away from convos about the tough stuff, and neither does Anna Sale, the host of Death, Sex and Money. She is a firm believer in expressing authentic, often stigmatized emotions. Through compassionate interviews that get real personal, this pod will remind you of what’s really important in life and give you sage wisdom about how to handle hardships.

5. Leo – Pop Culture Happy Hour

You’ve got an affinity for what’s popular and fun, Leo. You’ll love this pod that lays out a keen and unabashed analysis of all the latest shows, movies and more. These deeply personal and emotionally raw stories by gifted writers will make it hard to get through an episode without shedding a tear or two (or a million).

8. Scorpio – Invisibilia

They oftentimes illuminate our deepest, darkest selves.

9. Sagittarius – Ask Me Another

Sag, your playful and curious nature will make this game show pod absolutely irresistible. Anyways, this show is upbeat and fun just like you, Sag; and it requires a diverse and obscure range of skills and knowledge. Plus, it’s fun to play along in your head!

10. Capricorn – Girlboss Radio

Capricorn, you’re known for being a hardworking, badass boss lady. There’s no better place for you to find inspiration than Girlboss Radio. They discuss everything: from their first jobs, to asking for raises, to balancing work with personal life and more.

11. Aquarius – Ted Radio Hour
