It’s Time to Let People Celebrate How They Want to Celebrate

It’s an understatement to say that I love Christmas. Christmas has been, and always will be my favorite holiday. I can’t get enough of the movies, music, food, and you can probably guess… snow! I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life so I’m super excited for the first snowfall.

So, now that October is over, I, along with many others, begin listening to Christmas music and doing the other things mentioned above. I am sick of seeing all the memes and gifs on social media making fun of people who like to enjoy Christmas-y things early, like I do. I’m not forcing anyone to listen to Christmas music or watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with me.

With that being said, why are people being “cotton headed ninny muggins” by trying to dull my happiness? If people want to celebrate Christmas early, let them. If they want to wait until December actually starts, let them. This whole season is about joy, so why should anyone be allowed to take that away?
