What HC Fordham Has Been Binge-Watching

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

With cuffing season in full swing, we decided (brave, I know) to take a different approach to the coziest season of all. HC Fordham staff members are reviewing their most recent binge, so you can pick a show to start instead of finishing that paper you were supposed to.

Call the Midwife: a 1950s period drama about midwives in London. It’s got everything – some humor, some romance, a lot of drama, and even a little bit of violence. Not for the faint of heart if health class in high school scared you. It’s all on Netflix up until the current season, which hasn’t aired yet but should be back for a Christmas special next month. -Jacquelyn

I’ve been watching the new season of Jane the Virgin lately, and I am absolutely hooked! That show has it all — romance, mystery, drama, and even comedy! I just love all of Jane’s crazy adventures and how complicated her life is — it’s a bit confusing at first, but if you watch the show from the beginning, it makes total sense! New episodes for the fourth season air every Friday this month on the CW at 9pm, but you can also binge the first three seasons on Netflix. -Jessica

I took a short break from my major binge of Game of Thrones to watch Stranger Things 2 as quickly as I could. I accidentally spoiled some things for my friends (something I still cringe about to this day) but was simply SO excited about everything that was going down in the second season of Stranger Things. Side note: if you watch anything today, make sure it is James Corden’s motown band w/ the boys of ST…you will not regret it!!! – Lauren

If you haven’t noticed, we’re more than a little Riverdale-obsessed over here at HC Fordham. I just finished the first season, and was so surprised that I actually liked it. I was skeptical before watching because of its comic book roots, but am totally into it. The characters are all super different, and the show is shot beautifully. Its like all your favorite shows, but with a little more mystery than your average teen drama. -Christina

I’ve been binging the most random things lately after finishing the latest installment of Stranger Things (sob.) Mostly, as the weather gets colder and I get cozier, I’ve been watching the newest season of the Great Britsh Bakeoff, which was just added to Netflix. There’s nothing like a gentle British TV show about cakes to take the stress out of my day. -Annie

Christina is a member of the class of 2018 at Fordham University, pursuing a major in Communications and Media Studies. Some of her favorite things include Sex and the City re-runs, dogs and pretending Zayn is still a member of One Direction.
