We all want glowing,  perfect skin. The beauty and skincare gurus on Youtube make it look so easy, but when we look down in the “description box” to see what products they use, they’re way out of our price range. The fact that we’re in college, and we’re trying to ball on a budget shouldn’t stop us from being able to have the flawless skin that we deserve! In the past, I’ve struggled to find out what products and remedies work the best, but I think I’ve cracked the code! Here are my top tips for getting clear skin on a budget.

Hydrate

I know that everyone says this, and this is by no means all you have to do, but drinking water will really help your skin. I’ve completely cut out anything that isn’t water (except for coffee, I can’t give up my coffee), and I have seen tremendous results! On top of not drinking sugary beverages, I drink an insane amount of water. Seriously. If you want to achieve clear, glowing skin, then drinking water is must. The fact that water is free is a plus!

Catch some Z’s

This is probably another thing you’ve heard before, but I promise it’s helpful. If you’re looking to even your skin tone and give your skin a refreshed look, then getting enough sleep is essential. know getting to bed on time isn’t exactly part of the “college culture”, but if you use some self-discipline and make it a priority, you won’t regret it.

Oil it up

If you have struggled with acne, then you’re probably surprised to hear that incorporating an oil into your skincare routine is actually a good idea! Personally, I use vitamin E oil, and it has really worked wonders for my skin. It’s important to know though, that all of our skin is different, so that oil that works for me, may not work for you. Finding out which oil your epidermis likes will definitely be a trial and error process, but when you figure it out, your skin will really start to glow! (**Be sure not to over-oil!!)

Exfoliate that thang

A lot of people don’t realize how important this step is, but incorporating an exfoliating product into your face routine is essential. When you exfoliate, you’re getting rid of the top layer of dry skin, which gives your face a smoother look. When you first start to integrate exfoliating into your skincare routine, it will probably be a pain, but you’ll definitely see results!

Getting clear skin doesn’t have to be an expensive process, and it it’s super easy, but it definitely takes dedication and consistency. If you put these tips to good use, and develop a skincare routine that works for you, you’ll have clearer skin in no time!
