It’s easy to go day to day eating the same old dining hall meals when you’re a busy college student. Also, you may not have the funds to explore and eat at every restaurant in Boston. The good news is you don’t need to venture outside the Boston University campus to find new, yummy food. Most of the time, you don’t even need to spend “real” money. There are so many things to eat on campus that you can buy with your convenience or dining points! Here are the best five…

1. Crispy Chicken Wrap from Late Nite Café at Warren

If you haven’t seen all the memes made about this classic wrap, you must live under a rock. It’s pretty basic but still so good, and if you’re not in the mood for crispy chicken, you can order it with grilled chicken instead!

2. Cookies ‘N’ Cream Crepe from Late Night Kitchen

The filling tastes exactly like Oreo cream and is served inside a warm pancake, topped with whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and an optional scoop of vanilla ice cream. Everything about this dessert screams delicious.

3. Omelet Made by the “Omelet Lady”

The Warren Omelet Lady, Celilia Lopez, is a legend at BU. She asks every student how they are, engages them in conversation while she cooks, and remembers countless students’ orders. You’ve never tasted a perfect omelet until she makes one for you. She may make about 300 omelets every morning, but every single one is amazing.

4. Thanksgiving Dinner from Cranberry Farms

This meal is perfect for times when you’re homesick and craving comfort food, but Thanksgiving is nowhere in sight. You get to choose all your sides and the turkey is freshly shaved right when you order it. Also a plus—the stuffing and mashed potatoes will be almost as good as your grandma’s family recipe.

5. Mozzarella Stick Pizza from T. Anthony’s

Sadly, you cannot use dining or convenience points in T. Anthony’s, but the pizzeria is an essential part of BU and you can split the cost of one pizza with friends. Whoever thought to put cut up mozzarella sticks on pizza should win an award. It may sound odd – one cheesy food on top of another cheesy food – but you have to try it.

Dining hall food may get boring after a while, but if you remember to open your eyes, you can find so many fun new foods to try. Your brain needs tasty fuel to study and ace exams, so load up your convenience points and try these treats!
