I didn’t know much about Lady Bird when my roommates and I went out to see it but now I can’t stop raving about how much I loved it! Obviously my love for this film has only grown since then and here’s why.

The characters are amazing. Saoirse Ronan does an incredible job playing Christine, aka “Lady Bird”, a head-strong and confident young women with big goals for herself. This is a girl who knows what she wants. I have a lot of respect for Lady Bird as a character and I think everyone can identify with her in some way.

Timothée Chalamet is in it! If he’s not your new favorite actor then he will be very soon. Although his part is minor, he does a great job and his role serves a great purpose in Lady Bird’s coming-of-age journey.

The mother-daughter relationship is SUPER realistic. The entire film is unapologetically authentic especially the relationship between Lady Bird and her mother. They often go back and forth with each other but it proves that you can love some even when you’re fighting with them.

It’s so beautifully made. The story is told in a graceful and simple way that lets viewers see themselves in the story. Watching this film was an experience and I will never stop wanting to talk about it. Lady Bird means a lot to me and I think it will for anyone who watches it.
