A Pep Talk for Senior Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Jefferson chapter.

Listen: I feel you. It’s like summer ended in the blink of an eye and all of suddenly work is piling up, you have to worry about your clubs again, you’re starting a new side job and brand new classes, plus you want to have something of a social life, while still having time to call home at least once a week…oh, and this is the last year you have before graduation. Starting a semester is always hard, especially if you had an awesome summer, don’t really feel like starting class again, and are constantly being reminded that college is *almost over.*

But it’s time to pick up your chin and look alive! This is your last year to show school who’s boss, to put all the work you can into that degree, to make your parents proud, and to spend every last minute you can having a great senior year. Get up and prep yourself to do a kick ass job every. Single. Day. Wear clothes that make you feel good, pump up a playlist that always fires you up, and gather whatever you need to do the best you can at your classes. Take your weekends to relax and recharge, but also to go on adventures, hang with your friends before you all might have to part ways, and spend time to check off every last thing on your senior year bucket list. Remember when you graduated from high school and everyone said that college would “go by so fast”? Well, reality check – it does. Take these last two semesters to make the best of every single moment you can. You’ve got this!
