This past week, Rihanna launched her new Savage x Fenty lingerie line in Brooklyn at New York Fashion Week. The show featured multiple celebrities, a diverse array of models and added an interactive twist to the average FW show.

Choreographed by Parris Goebel, the show featured a theatrical exhibition of dance in combination with a range of music from The Beatles to a Nicolas Cage cover of “Love Me Tender”.

The set itself was beyond impressive. The scene, modeled to look like the Garden of Eden, featured elevated surfaces covered in grass, trees, rocks and a waterfall. The greenery was encased by metal, glass and light structures resembling a dystopian-garden.

Rihanna designed lingerie for every body type. The show even included a very pregnant Slick Woods, who gave birth just hours after the show. Women of all colors, shapes and sizes filled the set, providing an empowering and body positive show.

“…Women being celebrated in all forms and all body types and all races and cultures. It’s a shame that woman have to feel so insecure”, Rihanna told Vogue.

Overall, the show was beautiful and left the audience feeling empowered. Rihanna has shown the world that she is not only a talented artist but also a successful and driven business woman who is a role model to all kinds of women all over the world.

Here is a recap of the show.
