My Disney College Program Experience

Applying to the Disney College Program has been one of the hardest and most rewarding experience of my life. On my third try I got in for my number one job position at the Bippity Boppity Boutique. The first time I tried I passed the resume screening and next the web interview, but I did not get to go on to the phone interview. The second time I didn’t even get past the resume review. I had given up hope since it seemed as though I back tracked in progress but my parents and friends encouraged me to apply one more time. The third time I applied I immediately got through to the phone interview section and two weeks later found out I had made it into the program. I was given a position at the boutique where children go to get their hair, makeup and nails done. The phone interview is great practice because Disney expects professional, bubbly people at all times. Disney is a fortune 500 company and I plan to learn a lot about working in a professional environment. Not only I will be doing the program this coming semester but my cousin will be there with me as well working in the food and beverage services! I can’t wait to start my Disney College Program journey starting with the Spring Advantage from January to August!
Here are my helpful tips if you want to apply:
-Include a cover letter stating your love for Disney as a company and possibly an experience you had there as a child.
-Give the answers you know they want to hear in the web interview.
-Even though they can’t see you in the phone interview smile the whole time it will shine through in your voice.
-Remember you interviewers name and repeat it back to the at the end of the call to show you remembered and that you’re being thoughtful.
-Do not be afraid to try more than once, it worked out for me!!
