How to Organize Your Planner

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SFA chapter.

Being in college can be busy and stressful, and we all look for ways to keep up with school. My solution has been to keep a planner to help with my schedule. Although this seems like a lot of extra effort, it has really helped me stay organized throughout my college experience. So, here are 5 things I do to help me keep my planner put together and organized.

1. Buy a planner! You can’t organize what you don’t have. I personally love the Life Planner by Erin Condren and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

2. Write down events that won’t change. Take a little time to write in birthdays, weddings, and other “set in stone” events.

3. Color code your appointments and classes. This will do wonders for your grades if you keep up with it!!!!

4. Pencil in time to study and go to the gym. Simply writing things down can be a real motivator when it comes to life goals.

5. Add some stickers. Adding something fun and decorative can make keeping up with your planner so much more fun.
