5 Holiday Movies to Watch on Netflix Before Christmas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Auburn chapter.

The holidays are coming up, and after Thanksgiving Break, there’s only about two weeks until its Christmas Break. I know I’ll be watching Christmas movies all throughout Thanksgiving and Christmas break, so I made a list of the best holiday movies to watch on Netflix. This list has a mix of newbies as well as classics, so grab a snack and enjoy!

1. The Princess Switch

This is a new movie Netflix put out and it’s so good! It’s like Princess Diaries mixed with Parent Trap mixed with Christmas. Definitely a must see for the holidays.

2. Love Actually

This is one of my favorite holiday movies; as well as being super romantic, it is also hilarious. I honestly think I’ve seen it 20 times. Which means if you haven’t seen it, you should. And if you have, you should watch it again!

3. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

I loved this movie when it first came out, and I still love it now. Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors and honestly, nothing can top the OG Grinch.

4. Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas

I remember watching it every year as a kid. It’s a three part series with stories from Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and Goofy; a classic I will probably still be watching in 10 years.

5. White Christmas

This is my mom’s favorite Christmas movie, and after watching it, it’s one of my favorites too. The songs from this musical are beautiful, and the ending always makes me cry. So, if you’re looking for a classic heart-warming, tear-jerker, this is the movie for you.
