This is one of the most important times of the semester for your grades – the dreaded Finals week.

Here are some tips to help you get through it.

Plan…Plan…Then Plan Some More

Plan your time wisely, because we all know it is limited. Schedule time to study, sleep, eat, and a little extra time to relax. By being more strict during this week with your finals, you will be less stressed and more prepared knowing what you have ahead of you.

Find a Quiet Study Space

Every day, we are constantly surrounded by distractions. Find a place like a library that is quiet to study. I would not recommend studying in your room because the bed is just too close. Make sure you go to a place that is not too comfortable or else it will be hard to focus.

Turn Your Phone OFF!

Our phones can be our biggest distractions. Make sure to turn it off during your study time. If you feel too attached, give it to a friend or parent to hold on to for a certain period of time until your study session is done. You will be happy you did.

Get Plenty of Sleep

Sleep is so important for your cognitive remembrance. Make sure you get some sleep before your exams to do your absolute best. Being tired for an exam can cause you to do worse than you would if you were well rested, so make sure you get enough hours. But also remember, do not oversleep. Sleeping for a super long time can also end up making you feel tired. I would aim for eight to nine hours.
