I am a skincare fiend. I am obsessed with constantly purchasing and testing out skincare products and tools, and I’m going to share my favorite finds with you.

All of the products I am about to talk about have helped improve the quality of my skin so much. I used to struggle with cystic acne, and while it took actual medication to fully cure my cystic acne, these products have faded most of my scarring and have helped to prevent additional breakouts.

1. Mario Badescu Facial Spray

This stuff is life-changing. It cools and evens the tone of your skin, all while smelling incredible. I highly recommend this for hot days or any time your skin needs a little pick-me-up.

2. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

I know putting two Mario Badescu products in a row is a bold move, but they are seriously that good and, even better, affordable. I use this drying lotion so often that I think it might just be one of my facial features at this point. If I notice a pimple on my face, I immediately put drying lotion on it and the blemish is all dried out within hours. It’s like magic.

3. Derma-Roller

This product isn’t brand-specific because any Derma-Rolling tool will work. Derma-Rolling (or Microneedling) has been a life-changer for my acne scars. Basically, you roll your Derma-Roller over your face, and the tiny needles create slight trauma to the skin to trigger collagen and elastin production which reduce scarring, hyperpigmentation, prevents wrinkles and increases product absorption. Don’t let the needles freak you out, it’s completely painless.

4. Heritage Store Rose Water Facial Toner

I’m a little obsessed with rose water, so this toner is one of my favorite products in existence. I apply toner after my cleanser and before my moisturizer and nightly oil. The best thing about this product is the clean ingredient list – I hate putting mystery chemicals on my face.

5. Gua Sha

Gua Sha is my most recent skin care find, and it has quickly become my favorite part of my skincare routine. Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese practice that uses a plate-like tool to gently scrape the skin which “irons out” wrinkles, naturally contours the skin and aids in lymphatic drainage. You can purchase Gua Sha tools made from rose quartz or any other crystal, as well as cheaper materials such as plastic. What your Gua Sha tool is made of isn’t important as Gua Sha was originally done with coins in China, so don’t feel like you have to spend a ton of money to get the full benefits of Gua Sha.
