This Video Of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez & An Adorable, Slobbering Bulldog Will Literally Make Your Week

A video of a bulldog ambushing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has gone viral, and it’s absolutely adorable.

It shows a constituent’s bulldog named Charlie pouncing on Ocasio-Cortez while she was outside and on a conference call in the Bronx. The scene continues until she’s lying horizontal with the dog on top of her, laughing while he licked her face. Charlie looked very happy and excited to say hello to the powerhouse politician.

Comedian Simone Norman, who worked on Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign for Congress last year, shared the video on Twitter on Thursday for National Love Your Pet Day, and said she filmed the video over the summer.

“Sorry for laughing instead of helping, alex,” Norman wrote. The comedian also joked about a recent criticism of Ocasio-Cortez after GOP representatives found out that her boyfriend has a government email address, Refinery29 reports. Many assumed that she had hired him to her staff.

“Leftist darling @AOC spotted necking with heavyset mystery man in broad daylight,” Norman wrote. “Someone better check to see if this bulldog has its own congressional email account.”

Ocasio-Cortez shared the video too, and she added:

According to ABC New York, Charlie is the dog of a constituent who lives in Parkchester, which is a neighborhood in the Bronx.
