Having a healthy sibling relationship can be one of the best things in the world. Specifically, the relationship between a sister and brother. As women, many of us typically think of our brothers as annoying, talkative, nosy, and more. However, as we grow and look at things deeper, we realize that brothers truly are special and that every woman needs a brother.

For example, they can be one of your biggest supporters. Whether you get a good grade on an assignment, buy your first car or house, or just make progress in any way, a true brother is always rooting for you. Secondly, a good brother gives great advice on friends, men, sports, or just life in general. Sometimes when you are having a bad day, a brother knows just what to say to put a smile on your face. They are also your hype man because they know how to have a good time. Brothers are there to remind you to be calm and that it is not the end of the world when life throws you punches. A true brother knows you. He can read between the lines and can tell if something is wrong with you, whether you want to admit it or not.

No matter if they are younger or older, brothers are just like second fathers and bodyguards at the same time. They have no problem protecting you from anyone that is giving you a problem. On another note, brothers, as well as fathers, help women decide what we want in a significant other. A brother sets the standard high for how his sister is supposed to be treated, because of that women often want a significant other that treats them the same way.

A brother is someone that will be there for you no matter what happens. A true brother will also tell you the things that you don’t want to hear out of love. He will keep it real with you! Furthermore, a brother will push you to do better if he sees you not reaching your full potential. He believes in you and will motivate you to continue to work harder even when you think you have met your goal.

A typical brother will argue with you over something small, but don’t worry, he won’t stay mad at you for long. A brother is adventurous and will talk you into facing your fears. For example, he will go with you to any Halloween Horror park and help you get over your fear of monsters, even though he is terrified too.

Lastly, a brother is a forever friend. Even for those who may have lost a brother, he is always with you in spirit. A brother’s love is eternal and he will always be there no matter how old you get. This is why every woman needs a brother.
