Halloween is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER, and in true last-minute fashion, this article is going up right before Halloween! In this article, I’m going to be showing a few easy makeup looks that you can do in a pinch, and only with makeup that you already have.

Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: Want an excuse to chew gum all night? This chewing gum champion’s makeup look is quite easy. All you have to do is do your makeup normally, then turn your nose blue and purple. Wear a blue tracksuit and you’re set.

Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family: This is probably one of the easiest ideas on this list. Just do your makeup normally, maybe with a smokey eye, and pop on black lipstick. In terms of what to wear, just wear a white button-up under a black dress, and split your hair into 2 braids that fall down the sides of your face. Easy.

Coraline’s Other Mother from the movie Coraline: This is one of my favourite movies, and honestly the only “scary” movie that I enjoy. It’s a stop-motion animated film that is based on the children’s novel written by Neil Gaiman. I chose the scene where the Other Mother turns into a skeletal monster, and if you have a black dress with white polka dots, wear that. But if you don’t, any black dress would do. The look didn’t quite turn out how I had envisioned it to be, and my lines aren’t super clean, but if anything you could just be a cracked doll or something.

Pop Art/Comic Book Girl: This is also super easy, and you don’t even have to worry about getting an exact outfit. Line your features with black eyeliner or black eyeshadow, draw a few dots on your face, and your costume is basically done.

Before we come to an end, here are some honourable mentions:

  • Pennywise from the movie IT (or any clown): I had originally planned on trying out this look, but the reference photos were too scary, so I couldn’t. You can find photos yourself.
  • An animal: A cat, deer, fox, bunny, etc. The opportunities are endless. Then you can just find animal ears.
  • Skulls: Besides the usual black and white version, you can also be more creative and change the colours around. Maybe make it a rainbow instead.

So that’s it! I hope you find this article helpful, and trust me, if I can do these looks, so can you.

I love Winnie the Pooh.
