To some people, someone’s body count can make or break the relationship. Besides there being a double standard between a girl’s and guy’s body count (which I will get into later), there’s also somewhat of a stigma around the number. If the number is low for instance, you might be seen as prude or inexperienced, but if it’s high, you might be seen as easy or gross or slutty. There’s never a good ballpark when it comes to a body count, and I’m going to discuss each aspect of how someone’s body count can affect a relationship, no matter how stupid it is.

I can’t just state that low means good and high means bad because to be completely frank, I don’t know. It’s not that one is necessarily better than the other, but people tend to look down on you, either way, depending on your number. For example, if a girl has a low body count, let’s say three, then guys might see her as a prude or inexperienced BUT, they might also see her as hard to get and it might make the chase for her stronger and can possibly lead to a stronger relationship. Now let’s switch it up. If a guy has a body count of three, he will most likely get sh*t on. And then people tend to ask why. Why does this boy only have three bodies? Is it because he’s ugly? Or he’s bad in bed? Or he’s awkward? So when it comes to low numbers, it could be bad, but it also could be good, but also bad.

Now for the more common question. Is it bad if I have a high body count? Look, I am never one to judge. I wouldn’t care if you had two or 200 (as long as you’re clean and safe). But again, it comes down to gender, which f*cking sucks. If you are a guy, and you have a high body count, it’s kind of praised. Like, there needs to be a legitimate reason all these girls are sleeping with you right? Are you a god or something? You get it though, if you found out a guy had a high body count, it wouldn’t really phase you if you’re just looking for a hookup. But ladies, correct me if I’m wrong, if you are talking to a guy with a high body count, and you want something more than just sex with him, you know d*mn well you’re going to have to pull all the strings to get him to like you because, for some reason, boys with high numbers, tend to be more difficult to cuff. It might be because he’s not looking for a relationship, or maybe he just gets bored easily. So you can either take him seriously and try to settle down with him or just hook up and move on just like he does. Now when it comes to the girls, it’s a completely different story. If a girl has a high body count, she is most likely ashamed of it. Not necessarily ashamed of the people she’s been with, but more so the outside opinion she knows she will get from other people. They judge her. Call her easy. A whore. Not taken seriously. Here and there you might get a nice compliment but it’s usually just geared to the experience of hooking up with you. Sometimes there’s a deeper meaning to why a girl sleeps around but sometimes it’s just pure pleasure. She wants to have sex and better yet, she’s allowed to. It’s her body and it’s her choice and you all know this by now. So just because she’s been around the block more than other girls you know, doesn’t mean she’s not a person. She might want a real relationship or she might not, but that’s for her to decide, not for a number to tell you. I rest my case.
