We are approaching the season of romance: WINTER. The season with Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day. Many of our friends with significant others have probably started preparing for how they will spend each of these holidays, but what about the rest of us?

In media outlets, we are constantly shown gift-giving Christmas ads for significant others, New Year’s TV episodes with a romantic kiss at the stroke of midnight, and many vacation deals offered for Valentine’s Day. One could say that Christmas is advertised for the general public as well for spending quality time with family. In general, many media outlets advertise winter to be a romantic time.

Don’t fret! Just because you are single, doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy winter to the fullest! If anything embrace your singleness! You can spend all three holidays with everyone close to you!

Christmas

Christmas can be spent with family or close friends. With your friends you can have a gift exchange or have a Christmas celebration before, after, or on Christmas day. Also, spend some quality Christmas gift buying for yourself!

New Year’s Eve

Have a party with your friends and at midnight plan a highschool music jump or some other action. If you spend it with family, hug a family member at midnight or your pet!

Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s day? Scrap that, celebrate Galentine’s day with your friends! Also in Ontario, Family Day is a few days apart from Valentine’s Day. Spend some time with your family!

I hope you all have a wonderful Winter!
