While I am the queen of procrastinating, when it is crunch time I get down to business and avoid procrastination at all costs. With finals week coming up, here are some tips to help you get all of your work done in the quickest way possible!

1. Turn your phone off.

Try to limit distractions as much as possible. I promise snap chatting your friends can wait for a few hours.

2. Make a list of everything you need to get finished.

While looking at a checklist of everything you need to do with no checks on it can be daunting, I always feel accomplished when I can finally cross things off. Once one thing is checked off, I get motivated to get more things checked off.

3. Make a timeline.

Give yourself a time limit so that you can get everything finished in a timely matter.

4. Use incentives.

It is easier to get your work done if you have something to look forward to at the end. Whether it be small or large, find one way to reward yourself once you finish your work.

5. Get a buddy.

Find someone who will force you to do your work and get you to stop trying to find ways to get around doing it.

6. Take advantage of days you’re motivated.

If you are in the mood to do your work one day, utilize that to your advantage and try to get as much done as you possibly can.

7. Just do your work.

Easier said than done, but stop procrastinating and simply do the things you need to do!
