Go to a Drive-in Movie Theater

Unfortunately, Washington only has 5 remaining drive-in movie theaters but if you live near or willing to drive to Bremerton, Colville, Oak Harbor, Port Townsend, and Shelton Washington go see a movie at the drive-in!

Go See a Laser Show at the Seattle Pacific Science Center

Laser shows at the Seattle Pacific Science Center happen every Thursday-Saturday showcasing from different artists like Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Arianna Grande, REZZ, Pink Floyd, and tons more while performing incredible laser imagery. Tickets only cost $14.00 and it’s a super fun way to go check out Seattle and go to a laser show.

Go on a Hike!

Some hikes in different areas of Washington State might be closed due to weather (snow), but others might be open for hiking this spring break! Some hikes that might interest you are Rattlesnake Ledge, Twin Falls Trail, Little Si Trail, Mailbox Peak, Franklin Falls, and Blanca Lake Trail.

Leavenworth Day Trip

Leavenworth is a small Bavarian-style village located in Washington State. This town is filled with Bavarian-themed breweries and restaurants in the beautiful small town of Leavenworth. There are fun local shops and bakeries that you can visit during your time in Leavenworth.

Hit Up The Record Store

If you have a record player and are in desperate need of some new records stop by a record store in Seattle and make a day trip out of it! I suggest going to Easy Street Records and Cafe in West Seattle because it’s not only a record shop but you also can hang out at their cafe and enjoy your time off from school. Other record stores you could also check out in Seattle are Sonic Boom Records and George Town Records.

I hope these are some helpful ideas on how to lighten up your spring break on a budget, or just get some ideas on what to do this spring break! We all need a break from the books and these activities definitely will get your mind away from school and in a fun, affordable state of mind!
