As most students are coming home from school and transitioning to an online education, you may find yourself having more time on your hands due to less responsibilities with outside activities like sports and clubs. While life at home can be distracting (or a blessing), it is important to keep yourself occupied and stay productive while minimizing the spread of this virus.

Stay at Home and Don’t Go Out in Public Places

While you may not be worried about getting sick yourself, by going out in public you run the risk of spreading it to people who are at risk, such as the elderly and people with immunodeficiency and respiratory problems. To you, it may be just a fever and the aches, but to your grandparents, it could be a much larger problem.

Go Outside

Even though you want to stay away from public places, it is still important to take some time every day to go outside. That can mean going on a run or even just walking your dog around the park.

Facetime Friends

If you are like me and are practically an only child because your siblings have moved out, then you are probably blowing your brains out due to boredom…and it’s only been a week. Relax and give your friends a call, instead of going out and possibly infecting the public or even bringing back something into your home.

Self Care!

Take a bath! Paint your nails! Do a face mask!

Don’t Go Out to Restaurants and Other Businesses

It’s unlikely that anyone would do this given that most places are closed! This just gives you an excuse to learn how to do your own nails instead of going out to a salon!

Donate to Local Small Businesses

Most restaurants and stores are being forced to close down and many employees are losing their jobs left and right. Because of this, most people do not have a stable income to live off of, so be kind, and if it’s possible, donate to these small businesses as they are struggling too.

Wash Your Hands and Maintain Personal Hygiene

Be conscious and courteous of your actions. Enough said.

By doing these things, you can minimize the spread of the virus and keep yourself from getting bored.
