Which Comfort Movie Should You Watch Based on Your Zodiac Sign?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

With plenty of time to binge movies on our hands, I’ve been finding myself going back to a few classics lately. Everybody needs a good comfort flick now and again. If you’ve seen the movie before, you can laugh along and quote the best scenes, and if you haven’t, it will be a quick and fun watch without being too distressing at any point (because let’s be real, none of us need extra stress right now). Below you’ll find the next comfort flick you should watch (or rewatch) based on your zodiac sign.

Aries – Mean Girls

As an Aries, you’re courageous, strong, and energetic. You might often try to prove yourself (whether to yourself or others) by seeking out challenges, and can be honest but also naive. Mean Girls is the best choice for your next comfort flick movie night.

Taurus – 10 Things I Hate About You

Taurus are known to be persistent but also resistant to change (read: stubborn). There is no way that Kat from 10 Things I Hate About You isn’t a Taurus. Plus, this sign is ruled by Venus, the planet of love, so a romantic film is a must.

Gemini – High School Musical

Geminis are all about bridging the gap between different sides (say, for example, the basketball team, academic decathlon team, and the drama department). If you’re a Gemini then you’re a playful and charming social butterfly, which makes High School Musical a great movie for you.

Cancer – To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

Cancers are intuitive and sensitive, just like Lara Jean. They also have a strong tendency to be caregivers, and value safety, home, and strong family bonds. Lara Jean’s character definitely supports these themes in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, which is why it’s the perfect comfort flick for Cancers.

Leo – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Leos are extroverted, self-confident, and charismatic. If that doesn’t scream Ferris Bueller, then I don’t know what does. If you’re a Leo then you’re probably a performer who values generosity, especially when motivating others. That’s why Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is the best movie for you to watch next.

Virgo – Legally Blonde

If you’re a Virgo, you are most likely known for being self-sufficient and find value, creating something useful. Your analytical mind will probably love the legal aspect of Legally Blonde, while Elle Woods’s girl boss energy will definitely make the movie an enjoyable watch.

Libra – Clueless

Libra is a very social sign. If you are a Libra, you most likely value style and grace, and often work to maintain balance. Libra is actually sometimes referred to as the “polite Aries” which is why it’s perfect that the movie for Libra is Clueless, while the Aries movie pick is Mean Girls.

Scorpio – Pitch Perfect

Scorpios are known for being super intense, and there’s a lot more going on with them than meets the eye. Scorpios often go to great lengths to avoid being emotionally vulnerable, much like Becca in Pitch Perfect (sorry for calling you out a bit, Becca). If you’re a Scorpio, it might be time for a screening of Pitch Perfect.

Sagittarius – 13 Going on 30

Sagittariuses are restless wanderers. While the main character Jenna doesn’t necessarily travel in the traditional sense, she certainly takes a journey of discovery that lines up with what Sagittarius value. If you’re a Sagittarius, 13 Going on 30 will be a great movie choice for you.

Capricorn – Booksmart

If you’re a Capricorn, having practical goals, especially focused on professional success, is what you’re all about. You are an introverted rule-follower who is also often viewed as responsible. All of this also perfectly describes the main characters of Booksmart, which is why it would be a great flick for you to check out.

Aquarius – The Edge of Seventeen

Aquariuses are independent, but also feel a strong urge to help others. If you’re an Aquarius you most likely “march to the beat of your own drum” and can be shy and quiet, like Nadine. However, you’ll also appreciate Mr. Bruner’s role in supporting Nadine. All around, The Edge of Seventeen seems like a fitting film for an Aquarius.

Pisces – The Princess Diaries

Pisces are known to be imaginative and artistic, and are prone to daydreams. Pisces can find commitments restricting (like Mia when first considering her grandmother’s proposal) but also value compassion and a devotion to acting as “the savior.” (This is more like Mia as she takes on the role of princess… two-part feature with The Princess Diaries 2, anyone?)

Now that you’ve got the perfect comfort movie to watch based on your zodiac sign, all you need is some popcorn and a cozy blanket and you’re ready to go!
