It took me forever to finally hop onto TikTok… but now I’m (unashamedly) addicted. Yes, I might be too old for this app, but I can’t help it. I’ve learned so many things that I can’t wait to use post-quarantine. Sooo, for those of you who aren’t super into TikTok or haven’t seen these ideas yet, I’m here to post about them so you come out of quarantine looking super sexy and up on the latest trends.

1. The DIY cropped tank

Needless to say, the cropped ribbed tank is IN. I’ve looked everywhere online for cheap(ish) tanks and they are pretty much sold out of my size everywhere. I refuse to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a nice one, so my prayers were answered through this TikTok trend: buy (young) girls’ tank tops in a larger size from Walmart (I found mine at Target!) and crop the bottom. You can find them for $2-5!! What a steal! And they look almost identical to higher priced ones.

2. The whipped coffee

Yes, I know. It’s probably overdone. Everyone’s probably sick of hearing it. But if you haven’t tried it yet… you need to. For some reason, it’s become my favorite coffee to drink. I’ve been using almond milk in mine, as well as my KitchenAid to whip the coffee grounds + sugar + water (a lot less work on my end).

3. Tie-dye sweat set

I’ve been obsessed with this trend. I used to hate tie-dye for some reason, but now I’ve fallen in love. Sweatshirt + sweatpants? Count me in. The best sweatpants and sweatshirts are from Walmart, which you can get for a super sweet deal. Take some bleach (the foam bleach is really cool to use on the sweat set!) and spray it onto your sweatshirt and sweatpants, after rolling them up and tying them with rubber bands into a ball. Let the bleached clothes set. Then wash and dry, and yay! You’re done!

4. At-home dermaplaning

Wow. Just… wow. You can find some of these dermaplane babies on Amazon for super cheap! I recommend massaging aloe vera into your skin first, and then gently use the dermaplane tools all over your face! Look up a Youtube tutorial on different ways to dermaplane if you’re not 100% confident on how to use the tools, but make sure that you gently pull your skin to tighten it before you shave with the dermaplane tools. Be super careful to not press too harshly on the skin, as you might accidentally cut yourself! But all in all, I cannot tell you how awesome this tool is. The crap that I removed from my face is, honestly, quite terrifying.

These are just a few of the trending quarantine activities on TikTok that I think are worth investing in!! Feel free to check out more by downloading the app… I promise, no regrets.
