5 Amazon Products You Didn’t Know You Needed for Online School

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sacred Heart chapter.

For most college and high school students our bedrooms and kitchens have turned into the classroom. Personally, this semester all my classes are being held over Zoom. When I realized all my classes were online I felt a mix of emotions. I was relieved, disappointed and stressed out all at the same time. I knew that I would be spending a lot more time sitting at my desk on my computer, I wanted to make sure I remained comfortable, organized and prepared for the long hours and heavy workload. I immediately turned to Amazon and here is what I found!

1. Blue Light Glasses

Blue light glasses were something I had my eye on for a while and decided this semester was perfect timing to make the purchase. I have prescription eyeglasses that have blue light in them but I prefer to wear my contact lenses on the daily. The blue light glasses gave me the relief my eyes needed while still being able to wear my contacts lenses! They are stylish and affordable, a win win.

2. Acrylic Dry Erase Board

I’ll be honest, this was a Tik Tok inspired purchase but it is truly life changing! I decided to hang it on the wall above my desk which is the perfect location for it. Everyday I wake up and write the assignments that I have to complete and it is so satisfying to cross them off at the end of the day.

3. Coffee Warmer

Like a lot of other college students, I run on caffeine. I would prefer to go to Dunkin and grab an iced coffee but oftentimes I am waking up five minutes before my class and don’t have time. Luckily, my house has a Keurig so I am able to make myself a hot cup of coffee. I purchased a small coffee warmer that fits perfectly on my desk! I love this because if I am busy writing notes down my coffee remains hot throughout the class.

4. Noise Cancelling Headphones

This year I live in a house with four amazing girls. There is usually a lot of laughing or loud commentary coming from the living room while watching Vampire Diaries. The noise cancelling headphones were definitely a pricey purchase but well worth it! They help keep me focused during class and not tempted to run off and watch the Salvatore brothers adventures.

5. Gel Pens

There is truly nothing better than having a nice pen. The pack I got was only $9 and full of many colors. I use five different colored pens for my five classes and it helps keep me organized and my planner looks very aesthetically pleasing.
