Fall is here and Halloween is just around the corner! There is no question that COVID has brought about battles for everyone, and no one expected it to last this long. Although times have been tough, it is easier to make the best out of it and Halloween is just the time to do that. Who doesn’t love to get dressed up in fun costumes and eat all the Halloween candy there is? Here are a few costume ideas that are COVID-friendly with the perfect face covering. And of course, don’t forget to social distance, too!

Criminal/Bank Robber

If you have a ski mask and lots of black clothes, you could totally be a Criminal. With the ski mask, you’ll have the perfect face covering while you social distance and have fun!

What You’ll Need: a black ski mask, a brown/tan sack, black leggings, a black top, and of course, black shoes!

The Purge

If you liked the movie The Purge, you could definitely pull off the look. With an LED light-up purge mask (which you can find online), you can be protected and still look the part.

What You’ll Need: a light-up purge mask, a white button-up shirt with fake blood stains, knee-high socks, black heels, and a black top!

Space Cowboy/Cowgirl

My all-time favorite costume would be the space cowgirl look! While rocking a cute and fun outfit, you’ll be protected while wearing a bandana over your face, and of course, you can always have a mask underneath for extra protection.

What You’ll Need: a cowgirl hat, a jean jacket, tall boots, a bandana, and a bright or metallic-looking top/pants or dress. You can always add some fun makeup to complete the look!

Mummy

This is one of the easiest ways you can utilize a face mask this Halloween! All you’ll need to do is put on a white face mask, then wrap yourself in gauze or toilet paper! It is easy to do and super accessible if you want to achieve this look.

What You’ll Need: White gauze, a white face mask, white clothing, or even toilet paper!

Nurse

What better costume than a nurse to rock this Halloween– who wouldn’t want to dress up as a hero? If you want to pay tribute to some essential workers, this could be a way to do just that!

What You’ll Need: a face mask, scrubs, a scrub cap, and maybe even a stethoscope! Go wash your hands and have fun!

Cher from “Clueless”

Last, but not least, you could always go back to the 90s and channel your inner Cher! If you are planning on wearing her yellow-plaid outfit, you just need to get a matching face mask to stay on theme and stay safe.

What You’ll Need: White knee-high socks, a yellow and black plaid mask, a white t-shirt, a yellow sweater, a yellow and black plaid jacket, and of course, a yellow and black plaid skirt!

As you can tell, there are so many ways to dress up fashionable and creative this Halloween, while practicing social distancing and proper safety. There are more than just 6 costumes to choose from, so get creative and have fun. As always, stay safe, social distance, eat lots of candy, but most importantly, don’t forget your mask! Happy *almost* Halloween!
