If you are binge-watcher like me, then you probably are also constantly on the prowl for the next best hit series. For years, many of my favorite TV series shared a common theme of lasting approximately five to eight seasons. As much as I love a show with many seasons because I become invested in the plot and attached to the characters, it often is hard to actually finish these types of shows. Sometimes, these shows start off so strong during the first two seasons, but after a while, they lose their momentum. Especially when I have a lot going on in my life, I sometimes just need a quick and easy show. Recently, both Netflix and Hulu have added a wide range of miniseries. In short, a miniseries is about one or two seasons consisting of minimal episodes with longer lengths. These shows have become extremely successful because many people easily binge them in just a few days. Moreover, those who struggle to finish shows are likely to enjoy these miniseries. If you’re a fan of Gossip Girl, then you should definitely try out this Netflix traditional spin where Lady Whistledown takes on the new role of Gossip Girl. Bridgerton follows the story of eight siblings, who are part of a prominent family during the Regency era in England, and the plot deals with issues regarding love and marriage at the time. It is extremely interesting to see the expectations prevalent during this time while also falling in love with the story of Daphne and Simon. Aside from that, the soundtrack consists of modern songs with an instrumental, classical rhythm.

In addition to the inspiring story, this show tackles heavy subjects, specifically drug addiction.
