As we all know, COVID-19 has really put a damper on everything for the last year. However, we won’t let it keep us from having an awesome spring break.

Here are some tips to have a blast and stay safe this spring break: avoid flying, avoid crowded areas, take road trips, plan outdoor activities, and most importantly social distance and follow all CDC guidelines.

To avoid flying, take a road trip. Some of the most popular road trip destinations just so happen to be outside. For example, the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Valley of Fire State Park, and Florida Keys.

At or near the Grand Canyon, some fun things to do might be exploring the North Rim and other trails or going river rafting.

Some fun activities at or near Niagara Falls might be visiting and touring the falls, visiting the rainbow bridge, or visiting a bird or butterfly sanctuary.

Next, some fun things at or near the Valley of Fire State Park might be visiting the canyons or driving Mouse’s Tank Road.

Finally, in Florida Keys some fun activities might be visiting Dry Tortugas National Park or Duval Street and of course the beach.

Keep in mind that while these activities are outside, you will still need to social distance and follow the guidelines of the area you are in. Another way to stay safe might be to take a COVID-19 test before you arrive at your destination and after you return home to avoid any spread that might happen. Another safety precaution would be to get the vaccine when you can. It not only protects you, but it also protects others, like why we wear masks.

Anyways, I hope you have an amazing but safe spring break. Enjoy!
