Everything happens for a reason. Even your worst days are important, which can be hard to agree with when you’re in the moment. Stepping in a puddle and ruining your sneakers is frustrating right when it happens, but that instance could push you to buy the pair of shoes that you’ve had your eye on for months. Happiness comes in small victories. This scenario does not mean go jump in puddles so that you’ll buy yourself a new pair of shoes, but rather to not make a bad instance ruin your day. A positive can always come out of a negative. We can make good out of every situation.

The universe works in mysterious ways and it is always listening and observing. Have you ever thought of someone and they text you within the next few minutes? That’s the universe talking. Whether you believe in manifestation or writing in a journal, the universe is paying attention to you. This thought may disturb some, but I believe that it should be looked at in a positive light. Even when you feel your loneliest and most out of place, the universe is always there by your side. This comforting feeling should remind you that you are exactly where you are supposed to be, and that you have the power to control your life. Bad things happen to all of us, but it is how we react that causes us to choose our fate.

There is good in every bad moment. Optimism shapes us into our best selves, and it costs nothing to have a positive mindset. Our bad days help us grow and there are always lessons to be learned. Taking a bad day, or a bad moment, and being able to reflect on it is a part of life. No matter what you are going through, never forget that everything happens for a reason.

I am a Nutrition Major with a focus in Dietetics. I hope to become a successful dietitian one day as I want to help others. I play hockey and used to play soccer, but I love both sports. I love to cook and bake on my free time and I am a vegetarian! I enjoy weight training at the gym, but I always appreciate my lazy days.
