As an avid Real Housewives fan, I can watch the women watch paint dry and still find it entertaining. However, I do admit that if reality TV is not your thing, some episodes can feel like a waste of time. So, if you ever need an hour of entertainment, I have compiled a list of the best Real Housewives episodes, from my favorite franchises, for you to know what episodes to turn to.

  1. Real Housewives of New York (RHONY), Season 10, Episode 16

This episode is the epitome of a perfect storm. There is Ramona, only slightly injured but still insisting to be pushed in a wheelchair through the cobblestone streets of Cartagena. The tension between ex-best friends Carole and Bethenny. Bethenny, with an extreme fish allergy, eating a seafood soup. Luann and Sonja hitting the clubs for a good time. Tinsley spending her typical four hours in hair and makeup. All of this combined, makes for this episode to be not only extremely comedic, but also a turning point for many of the friendships for seasons to come.

  1. Real Housewives of Potomac (RHOP), Season 3, Episode 2

This episode provides evidence for not only Karen Huger’s self-proclaimed title of “The Grand Dame of Potomac” but also for Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon’s given title of “The Green Eyed Bandits.” This episode revolves around Huger’s husband’s IRS charges. Not only does this episode give audiences Huger’s one-liner “you have to make millions, to owe millions!”, it also gives audiences an introduction to the mysterious 26 year-old that Huger claims to have been friends with for 12 years. In addition to all of this, Huger hosts a “press conference” at which she refuses to answer any questions. Bryant and Dixon enlist to make iron-on t-shirts saying “tax reform” and “free Uncle Ben” (in reference to Huger’s husband). This episode demonstrates to viewers the main characters of Potomac (Bryant and Huger) and the personality of these two women, who carry the show.

  1. Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ), Season 10, Episode 6

This episode is a trip episode, with arguably one of the best casted seasons in Real Housewife history. This episode centers on the tension between Margaret, Meliisa, Jackie and Jennifer as they believe that Jennifer was bullying them on Instagram through impressions. This episode also demonstrates the crumbling friendship between Teresa and Margaret, which viewers still see in the currently airing episodes. In addition to the drama and tension, this episode has many comedic moments like the women trying different rums and trying to whine. The funniest moment of this episode has to be when Jennifer decides to roast everyone at the dinner table to put to rest the tension over her Instagram story. Of course, despite this being light-hearted fun, attacks are packed into Melissa, Jackie and Margaret’s roasts.

  1. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC), Season 2, Episode 10

This episode was probably one of the most anticipated and talked about episodes in Housewife history. This is the episode in which Jen Shah flees the FBI on camera. Talk of Jen Shah’s arrest and its footage had been circulating months before the airing of this episode, and it does not disappoint. Not only does the audience see Shah making up a lie about her husband’s health to leave the sprinter van, Meredith (Jen’s long term frenemy) has mysteriously elected to not take the van with them. After the FBI show up, we see the women trying to understand why they are looking for Shah, and Lisa hysterically calling all of her lawyers. The shock of Shah’s arrest and the possibility that Meredith had something to do with it, is topped off when the ladies finally arrive in Vail, to Meredith enjoying a nice bubble bath, as the others are emotionally wrecked.
