It’s spooky season!

Almost everyone’s favorite time of the year. All the Halloween movies, activities, shows, and just many different things and here! Whether you’re with your friends, family, or children, Halloween is the time to cozy up and get scary with the ones you love. Now me, I’ll be with my man. Here are a few different spooky ideas that I want to do with my boo, hopefully I jog your interest too!

Last year we went to the pumpkin patch and the inner child in me was ecstatic. There were adult bouncy houses, beautiful hayride, tasty treats, and just a good vibe. The patches are adult and kid friendly so everyone can enjoy their time here. My favorite of course was looking at all the different pumpkins. Personally picking which ones we wanted to take home and make ours.

There are pumpkins of all different sizes. It’s pretty exciting and overwhelming because, you see the little tiny ones and just want to take them all. Then you see the big ones and just start thinking of all the big designs you want to carve into them. To make it easier, we got a baby pumpkin and a big pumpkin. At the end of the night, we carved and painted our little masterpiece. Threw a tea tree light in it, and there we had our jack-o-lanterns.

Now when it comes to haunted houses, I am a tad iffy on those. I scream and get violent when I’m scared lol and I can’t hit the actors if I get frightened. This is suggested with a significant other, Im walking through attached to my boyfriend’s hip. In Laurel, Maryland there is a halloween attraction at Laurel’s House of Horror. They are currently offering escape rooms, haunted tours, and a haunted house. They even have ghost hunting after hours once the location has closed. See me, personally, “that’s the kind of stuff you watch from a distance” lol! Do I believe in ghosts, yes. Do I want to go hunting and looking for them, not at all. But bundle up, get warm, put your guard up, and head to your nearest haunted house with your BOO.

Another idea that’s a little more my speed, is an at-home spooky date night. You and your BOO could find some different spooky DIY activities. You could make spooky drinks, (have a little fun with it 21+). Do some spooky baking, cookie making, marshmallow decorating, or even some scary brownies! Prior to this, I’d make a list of spooky movies to binge while we’re doing this. Here’s a few of my suggestions; All Hallow’s Eve(2013), Trick ‘r Treat(2007), Halloween Kills(2021), and Halloween(2018). If it gets too scary, just cuddle closer to your BOO!

One last spooky idea that I can suggest this season with your BOO, is going to Busch Garden’s Howl-O-Scream in Williamsburg, Virginia. Amusement parks are always fun with the right crowd! Me personally, i’m not a fan of rollercoasters, but I love the atmosphere of the park. Everyone having fun and being excited around me. They offer scary shows, performances, haunted houses, and that’s not the least of the festivities. They also offer spooky tours around the park. You guys could also swing by Six Flags in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Their spooky event is called Fright Feast. Whether it’s something chill or something thrilling, here’s just a few of my ideas of some spooky fun you could have this season with your BOO!
