How to Rock Jeans on NYE & Still Look Totally Festive

We’re all for rocking a killer party dress to ring in the New Year—but after years of sequined mini dress after sequined mini dress, we’re starting to feel like it’s time for a change. The easiest way to look effortlessly cool this NYE? Jeans—we’re serious! Here’s how to make your favorite denim look a little extra festive for a champagne-fueled evening of ringing in 2016.

1. Back to Basics

Dress up a pair of medium wash skinnies with a turtleneck in a surprisingly subtle glittery gold hue. A leather jacket automatically upgrades any look, and black studded pumps will make your legs look miles long. (Hello to looking amazing in all your Insta pics from the night!) Finish off the look with an edgy crossbody bag that will keep you hands-free all night.

2. Fierce in Faux Fur

If there were ever a time to test-drive the faux fur trend, New Year’s Eve is it—go all out in a gorgeous shaggy coat in blush pink. Keep your statement-making coat as the main event with neutral, basic pieces you likely already have in your closet—gray jeans and a tie neck blouse are perfect here. Cleated, chunky black booties add an edge. Skip the statement jewels and add a blinged-out clutch instead!

3. Boyfriend Jeans Babe

Single on NYE? No worries—these amazing distressed boyfriend jeans are the only ‘boyfriend’ you’ll need. To add festive sparkle, wear them with a sheer, starry-printed blouse and metallic gold booties that look a lot more expensive than they actually are. Keep things low key by tossing a cardigan over top. Oh, and a handful of stacking rings are a must.

What will you be wearing to celebrate 2016, collegiettes?
