How To Get The Most Out Of Your Fall Boots

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

Boots are the classic fall closet staple—so you’ll want to make sure you’re getting the most mileage out of your favorite pair. We partnered with The FRYE Company to help you navigate your fall boot options.

1. Don’t sacrifice quality for style

As your go-to fall footwear, boots are an investment piece that you shouldn’t scrimp on. Poorly made boots are not only bad for your feet, but will easily fall apart after a grueling winter. You can have style and function all in one pair of boots, though. FRYE boots last a lifetime—their craftsmanship is unparalleled and they wear extremely well. They’ll take you from class to a night out to walks on the campus quad. We love how Emma of the blog, With a City Dream, styled her FRYE Sacha OTK boots and Farrah Fringe Bag. You shouldn’t settle for anything less with your most-worn footwear of the semester!

2.  Stop playing it safe

Your library get-up of worn jeans and boots with your college sweatshirt is fine, but we promise you can be a little edgier without sacrificing comfort. Think you can’t pull off over-the-knee boots? You can. We’re obsessed with how Taylor of Merged Fashion styled her FRYE Sacha OTK boots and Amy Shopper with skinny jeans and a loose plaid flannel. The over-the-knee style is cool and edgy, but can be subtle too.

3. Don’t wear them with jeans only

We get it—your on-campus uniform of jeans and boots works. But you’re missing out if that’s the only way you style them. Don’t be afraid to show a little leg. FRYE boots look great with a skirt, like how blogger Christina of Looks by Lau styled her Parker Short booties and Amy Zip Satchel. Pair a denim mini with a simple black top for a super easy, cool girl look that works great in the classroom and at the local bar. Your favorite pair will get way more mileage if you look for new ways to style them rather than just settling for the classic jeans-and-boots ensemble!

4. Focus on versatility

Not every boot is going to work for you—but some brands just get it right every time. These Sacha OTK suede boots from FRYE, modeled by Tilden of style blog, To Be Bright, fit the bill. Flattering and effortless, we’re obsessed with how these boots look amazing with a skirt but could also easily look great with jeans. We’re also obsessed with her FRYE Amy Shopper tote!

As you can see, there are several ways to get the most out of your favorite fall footwear. Make sure you’re working with a gorgeous, incredibly crafted pair of boots that will look chic for years to come—The FRYE Company goes above and beyond our wildest boot expectations. The best part? College students get 10 percent off! How will you style yours, collegiettes?
