6 Favorite September 2013 Covers

It’s the most wonderful time of the year—for magazine junkies, that is. The bevy of highly anticipated September issues have finally hit newsstands. Though we’re excited to devour their pages for juicy features and fierce fashion, we can’t help but judge a glossy by its cover. So which covers reign superior? Catwalk to Campus weighs in.

1. Marie Claire

Quirky girl Zooey Deschanel gets a “rough around the edges” makeover: instead of sporting her typical flirty dresses and nail art, the New Girl star sported Saint Laurent and Prada. No offense to her normal threads, but we’re mildly obsessed with her new look.

2. Lucky

The September issues marks a new era for the shopping magazine. With a new image and Eva Chen as Editor in Chief, Lucky 2.0 pumps up the glamour. Exhibit A: Blake Lively’s stunning photoshoot. Wrapped in a cozy Gucci overcoat, the cover shows the former Serena van der Woodsen’s transformation from “Gossip Girl” to leading lady.

3. Harper’s Bazaar

Like a fine wine, Sarah Jessica Parker only gets better with age. The former Carrie Bradshaw looks major in a slinky gold number. If you don’t subscribe to the magazine, we encourage you Google the subscription cover—SJP looks flawless with that extravagant headpiece a la  the 2013 Met Gala.

4. Dazed & Confused

As much as we adore Mary Kate and Ashley, Elizabeth is arguably the Olsen sister of the moment. Dress in Victorian-inspired threads, Olsen looks quirky and classic at the same time.

5. Harper’s Bazaar Australia

Scarlett Johansson knows how to make a scene. With windswept hair and sporting a gorgeous mosaic Dolce & Gabbana number, the actress is the epitome of high-octane glamour. Divine!

6. Vogue

No September issue list is complete without Vogue. From heavy copies to glamorous covers, the sartorial Bible always rules the newsstands. With an Academy Awards, megawatt franchise, and bona-fide “It Girl” status, Jennifer Lawrence was this year’s obvious choice. The Catching Fire star sported a shorter ‘do and fabulous pieces from Louis Vuitton and Rochas, just to name a few. Another reason we want her to be our BFF, right?

Which covers are you loving? We’re dying to know!
