Word Association: Frat Edition

Ever wonder how the boys in each frat actually view themselves?  How they most closely identify with one another? Want to know how they are perceived by girls on campus? See what other Yalies – and the brothers themselves – think!

As Yalies, we know that there are several fraternities on campus to which guys can belong. How those fraternities are defined in a social context, however, is more difficult to concretely say. “How many frats are there,” you might ask? Ever heard of Sig Chi late night, but have no idea where Sig Chi even is? Have no fear, you’re not alone! HerCampus has your guide of Yale fraternities from AePi all the way down to Zeta.

HerCampus asked various undergraduate girls (none of whom is associated with the fraternity in question) to describe certain frats, in three words, as they view themselves.  We then asked various undergraduate guys (all of whom are in the fraternity in question) to describe their respective fraternity in three words.  Here is what we found…
