PINK Nation Collegiate Showdown

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVU chapter.

Calling all West Virginia University collegiates! It’s that time of the year again – time for WVU to unite and start voting for PINK Nation Collegiate Showdown. The Mountaineers beat out every other participating school in the nation last year, and won an amazing concert known as the PINK Nation WVU Gold and Blue Bash.

On Oct. 7, Morgantown got to experience its second free concert during that semester, complete with live music by Drake and DJ Irie. Last year’s Blue and Gold Bash also showcased Victoria’s Secret PINK models, Chanel and Candice, and had tons of games and fun PINK themed tailgating activities. It’s time to prove to the rest of the nation that the Mountaineers have what it takes to win two years in a row.

It’s so easy to do! The contest is beginning with 59 PINK Collegiate schools and the voting spans throughout the month of April, ending on Thursday, April 21.

Hayley Clover, WVU PINK Campus Rep for 2011-2012, said, “The voting resembles March Madness. The schools will be eliminated down to the sweet sixteen, eight, four, and two.”

All you have to do to be able to vote is sign up for a free account with http://www.vspink.com and remember to vote for WVU every single day. PINK also adds you to their email list, and you’re able to receive great coupons and discounts from time to time.

Time to prove our school spirit… let’s go Mountaineers!

She was a columnist for her local newspaper, The Times West Virginian, for two years. During her senior year in high school, Devin was a columnist for a national magazine, Gladys, where she went on to become the Public Relations Manager. At WVU, Devin is a member of Chi Omega Sorority. When she grows up, Devin wants to be a lawyer.
