Well ladies it’s that time again, the first time for many of us, Election Day. It is very important that you get out and vote, especially considering our candidates. Yes, it has come to the point where we have to elect the man who grabs females by the well… or the woman who sends the sketchy emails. For some people the politics bore us but it is so important that you have a voice. So if you know nothing about politics I broke it down for you, explaining it to you as easily as possible so you make the right decision.
Women’s Health
Hillary Clinton wants to bring more attention to rape victims. She supports Planned Parenthood funding and believes that women should hold the decision of what to do with their bodies. Hillary is Pro-choice and supports the ACA’s affordable birth control measures.
Donald Trump is Pro-life and wants to stop funding for Planned Parenthood. Very anti-abortion and would rather “shut down the government rather that fund planned parenthood”.
Gun Control
Donald Trump believes that all americans have the right to the second amendment. He believes that the cause of mass shooting are due to mental health problems and doesn’t believe in extensive background checks. “We have to get back into looking at what’s causing it. The guns don’t pull the trigger. It’s the people that pull the trigger.”
Hillary Clinton wants to extend background checks, and wants to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. She believes that weapons of war have no place on our streets.
The Environment
Clinton wants to take action against climate control and cut energy waste in America. She also wants to reduce American oil consumption.
Trump believes in business, not the environment. He wants to cut funding on the EPA. “We’ll be fine with the environment. We can leave a little bit, but you can’t destroy businesses.”
Foreign Policy and National Security
Donald Trump has very many problems with foreign nations. He believes China is our biggest problem. Wants to keep all illegal immigrants out of our country by building a wall in Mexico and wants to deport all immigrants using force. He also wants deal with North Korea by nuking them out of existence. His main goal is to defeat ISIS by using strong brutal force. Believes “Islam hates us” doesn’t care to be politically correct.
Hillary Clinton wants to reform the immigration system and wants to focus on getting more European contribution to help against Russia. Believes ISIS needs to be stopped and will improve military to help destroy them.
LGBTQ
Hillary is Pro LGBTQ and supports the Equality act. She wants to allow LGBTQ people to serve our country openly. She also wants to fight for full federal equality for LGBTQ Americans.
Trump embraces the nation’s most anti-LGBTQ law, North Carolina’s HB2. He has always opposed marriage equality. Trump says “I think I’m evolving, and I think I’m a very fair person, but I have been for traditional marriage. I am for traditional marriage, I am for a marriage between a man and a woman.”
Economy
Trumps main goal is to bring back jobs from mainly China, India and Mexico. He also wants to create more jobs in America.
Clinton wants to raise minimum wage and is very focused on paid maternity leave. Wants to cut corporate power to help small businesses grow.
