8 Fall Fashion Trends to Pair With Your PSL

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVU chapter.

It is that time of year again! Pumpkin Spice Lattes are trending on social media, you’re anticipating the day you’ll have to wear a sweater to class, the leaves start doing their thang, and everyone breaks out the crock pots. The most important thing to consider as the weather gets colder is what the hell you’re going to wear! Well, we can all take a deep breathe because I’ve done my research and have compiled a list of trends you’ll be seeing here shortly. Note: each outfit may be accompanied by a PSL.

1. Velvet

We saw it here and there last winter but this fall velvet is in full force!

2. Bomber Jackets

These were seen everywhere in the 80’s and early 90’s! I have to admit, I’m glad they decided to come back around.

3. Statement Chokers

I cannot get enough of chokers and ever since they started coming back, they have only become increasingly embellished and bigger!

4. Oversized Bell Sleeves

Because what is fashion if it isn’t taken to the extreme at some point?

5. Hoodies

I don’t know about you, but I bum it to class 90% of the time. The only difference now we can be comfortable and fashionable!

6. Patent Leather Trench Coats

I know it may seem a little extreme, but I promise you will turn heads (in a good way) rocking one of these!

7. Navy Overcoats

Classic.

8. Lace Up Booties

For all the shoe lovers including myself!

I am originally from Westchester, New York. I came to WVU for my undergrad in Strategic Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations and a minor in Sports Communication. My involvment on campus includes blogging for Her Campus, a sister of Alpha Phi, the assistant director of the media team on the Mountaineer Maniacs executive board and lastly, an athletic communications intern with the WVU Athletic Communications office. I will be graduating in May of 2017 and I am looking forward to getting started with my future career in Journalism and Public Relations!
