Campus Cutie: Ashley Brenton ’18

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WM chapter.

Name: Ashley Brenton

Year: Freshman

Major: I’m a History major in the St. Andrews Programme.

Hometown: Virginia Beach! It’s ratchet, but it’s home.

Celebrity crush: Liam Hemsworth – dem blue eyes doe

Ideal date: Dinner and a movie would be nice. I love going to the movies, and I’m one of those people who likes to be there to watch the previews.

If you could travel anywhere in the world: I would love to go to Spain and Italy.

Favorite movies: Pitch Perfect, Young Frankenstein, Clueless, and She’s the Man

Typical day at W&M: Wake up 30 minutes before class or work, and then run around like a chicken with my head cut off dealing with my crazy busy schedule. In the evenings, I usually hide from my homework with friends or Netflix.

Favorite TV show: Reign

Starbucks or Aromas: Starbucks, duh! Iced Caramel Macchiatos for days.

Spot on campus where you love to hang out: I love the Grind, but my bank account hates it. And I love the second floor of Swem by the big windows. When I work early in the morning, it’s beautiful and quiet and I can watch campus wake up.

Campus activities: I work in Swem, and I’m in Delta Gamma.

Ideal guy—

Hair color: It doesn’t matter to me

Tall or short: Taller than me preferably, but I’m not that tall (5’7” represent)

Nice eyes or nice smile: Definitely eyes. I’m a softie for nice eyes.

Best thing a guy can wear: Whatever he feels comfortable in—but I’m a sucker for the backwards baseball cap ;)

A guy who plays an instrument or a sport: I like both, but I’m probably more into sports. I played softball in high school, so I’m into that baseball life. If you’re a good singer, that’s awesome too. I’m aggressively into a capella here because one of my best friends is in the Intonations.

Look for in a guy: A sense of humor, and someone who looks for the best in people. And he has to be nice to my 8-year-old brother.
