She is the cutest celebrity on this campus that I have ever seen! Therefore, that makes her the first ever campus celeb and campus cutie all in one! She goes by several names (Alex, Ally, Alexandra, but mainly Ally O). She is an LA girl, a world traveler and has all the spunk and fun you need in a friend. Without even visiting campus, or knowing where Wisconsin was, she chose to call Madison “home” for 4 years. Here is a taste of what life is like in the fabulous world of Alexandria Lee Otto:
What’s your involvement on campus?
I’m a member of Alpha Chi Omega and the Real Estate Club. Sorry, I hate meetings so I’m not too involved.
You favorite pregame song?
Anaconda, obviously.
Who’s the most famous person you’ve seen in LA?
I’ve seen quite a few famous people out in LA but I had a few memorable moments with some growing up. At a Cirque Du Soleil show I sat next to Lucy Liu. One time Janet Jackson was in my house. I threw up on Barbara Eden’s (I Dream of Jeannie) shoes when I was 7. I also rode Tom Cruise’s horse when I was little.
Any secret talents? (keepin’ it PG)
Is being able to sing along to the entirety of Les Mis and Jersey Boys a talent?
Explain Sellery in 3 words:
Honestly, thinking about Sellery is pretty traumatizing for me. But if I had to describe it in three words, they would be disgusting, cramped, and smelly.
Guilty pleasure:
The Real Housewives. Any of them. Especially Lisa Vanderpump, she’s my role model.
What’s your biggest turn on?
Any guy not from the United States who has some type of European accent.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Hands down Opium Mar, a nightclub on the beach in Barcelona. I am SO about that place. It’s great. Everyone needs to go there.
What is your dream job?
The dream would be to work for the United Nations or become the US ambassador in a European country. Any job that would let me travel! Or more realistically a queen/princess.
Your biggest pet peeve?
I have a few actually… Rude people, loud people, unintelligent people, tacky people, tacky clothes, chewing loudly, repetitive noises, weird smells, awkward moments, and liars.
What’s the worst part about leaving LA/what do you miss most from home?
I miss so much about home. Here’s a small list: Eloise aka Nug (my puppy, she’s a princess), the beach, my friends, the Ivy, yoga, Urth Caffe, my car, Mexican food… real Mexican (not Chipotle), hiking, the sun, pressed juices, hot beachy surf boys, PCH, “In N Out”, Manhattan Beach (my hometown), and kale.
What did you do the first day it snowed?
Cried.
What is the most LA place in Madison? Is there even one?
I would have to say the most LA place in Madison is Fresco. It is SO LA.
Weirdest thing you’ve done at college that you could never have done anywhere else?
Eating cheese curds. Can’t do that in LA.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Living in Europe, hopefully they’ll let me live in Versailles by then. I’ll be married to Raphael Nadal or one of the Bryan Brothers twins. (My best friend Vanessa will be married to the leftover one and living next to me). I’ll have two dogs named Louis and Boss, a horse named Traveler, and a goldfish named Lady. I’ll own 4 pairs of Céline espadrilles, 6 Birkin bags, vacation mansions in California and South Africa (so I can visit my relatives), and a few yachts scattered around the coast of Europe.
How does it feel to be a campus celeb/campus cutie?
I am SO honored to be both celeb and campus cutie!! I plan on using this to snag a husband.
