As of August 11, 2014, the world lost one of the funniest and most heart-warming actors of all time. Since we were kids he has made us laugh, smile, cry, cheer and pretty much experience every emotion under the sun. Rather than mourn the loss of a great man, let us take a moment to recognize some of the best films ever created.

Now, everyone call up your favourite cuddle buddy (Wink wink, date idea, boys!), a huge bag of popcorn and celebrate the life of Robin Williams!

Here are my personal top five Robin Williams flick picks :

5. Hook

A father must save his children from a mysterious man named Captain James Hook; the only problem is, he’s not as mysterious as he seems. Peter has in fact grown up and forgotten his childhood life as Neverland’s infamous Peter Pan. This modern adaptation takes us back to our Disney days but with a quirky new-age twist. It makes us remember that we are never too old to use our imagination and believe in a little magic…or at the very least watch children’s movies. I have to admit, after recently watching this I kind of want my own treehouse like the one the Lost Boys live in.

4. Aladdin

Hellz yes, Aladdin. Guy or girl, you cannot deny you loved the curves of Jasmine or abs of Aladdin. While the “street rat” may be the star of the movie, the true front-runner has to be Genie. Cartoon or not, we know that in real life Genie would be the ultimate chirp-show and straight-up bro. He lands Aladdin his lady while lending him helpful advice along the way. We also can’t deny the incredibly hilarious lines that come out of that big blue guy’s mouth.

3. Mrs. Doubtfire

“Hellllllllooooooooo!” Ah, too funny. Whenever a dad dresses up as an old woman nanny you know it’s going to be good times. I think every kid watched this and cracked up laughing every ten minutes. It is hands down a childhood classic! While absolutely hilarious, Mrs. Doubtfire also warms our hearts and shows us the true meaning of family.

2. Good Will Hunting

Matt Damon, Ben Stiller AND Robin Williams, come on! A boy-genius from the wrong side of the tracks gets a little help on his road to greatness by a slightly impractical shrink. From his heart-wrenching story about his wife to his genuine desire to help the kid with huge potential, you fall immediately in love with the scruffy, heartbroken shrink played by Robin Williams.

1. Jumanji

You didn’t really think I would leave this one out did you!? Oh Jumanji, you literally scared the living daylights out of me as a child. It’s rare that a movie can transport you into another world and make you believe your board game can actually become real life. This movie was so good they even tried to create a remake called Zathura; but let’s get real, space was pretty lackluster in comparison to wild jungle adventure of Jumanji (and Kristen Stewart only has one emotion so that doesn’t help).
