Dakota Treat 2015

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

At the end of last year, I heard rumors that there was a model in the incoming freshmen class. Of course I didn’t believe it – a model, coming to Missouri? To WashU? Why? Then I realized, the model must be a hand model! This week’s Campus Cutie, Dakota Treat, is that rumored model, and no, he is not a hand model (although he probably could be).  You can lie to yourself and pretend that you don’t think Dakota is cute, or you can read this interview and become even more enamored with his Southern charm.

Grade? Freshman
Hometown? Washington, Oklahoma
Studying? Undecided. I’m still kind of pre-med but I dropped Chem.
Activities on campus? Football. That’s really it for now.
Where do you live on campus? I live in Eliot 2.
So you model…? I do. Right now, I’m not signed with an agency. I did one shoot for Calvin Klein; I didn’t really think it was that big of a deal. I have a friend who is a photographer, so that’s how I got started. I’ve gotten more offers and it has become a bigger deal than I thought. I met a lot of cool people through it. It’s a good way to make easy money.
Are you an only child? Nope, I have a little sister, she’s 12.
What video games do you play? I play two. NCAA Football 12 and Super Smash Brothers. Smash is a nightly thing and my roommate wins, unfortunately.
Where in the world are you dying to go? I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, like the outback. The crocodile hunter was the man growing up.
If you could speak to one type of animal, what would it be? A horse. We have two racehorses. One of them is just a baby. I always bet on my own horse.
Your go-to station at Bears Den? Probably the grill. I eat a buffalo chicken wrap almost every day. I’m addicted.
Do you go to brunch both days of the weekend? I hate the brunch buffets. I never go to brunch.
What would you do if you won the lottery? Oh man. I would probably buy a ranch somewhere and be a cowboy for the rest of my life. I am a cowboy at heart.
What do you eat for breakfast?  A granola bar and an apple. But don’t let my breakfast choice fool you – lunch and dinner, I go hard.
Cats or dogs? Dogs. I have two boxers and a Doberman.
What makes a girl sexy? She’s got to be a sweetheart. I typically go for blondes but it really doesn’t matter.
Favorite TV show? Blue Mountain State. It’s about a college football team.
What’s your dream job? I kind of came to college wanting to be anesthesiologist. But now that I dropped Chem, we’ll see.
What stresses you out? I think, along with everyone else from WashU, failure. Or doing badly in a class.
Where else were you considering going to school? I applied Early Decision here. I really didn’t think about it.
If you didn’t play football, what sport would you play? Basketball definitely. I played basketball in high school.
Most recent dream you can remember? I had a dream that me and one of my friends were fishing on a boat and the boat tipped over.
