Our makeup style changes as we make the transition to winter. Holiday makeup is known to be classy and bold…but also always being a struggle! You can no longer count on your summer glow from the vacation, nor the non-waterproof regular cosmetics to keep you looking great throughout the day. Therefore, here are some of the beauty products you definitely need this winter to keep you looking gorgous.

1. Red Lipstick

Yes, you know it, it’s that time of the year to pull off the perfect shade of red. Whether it’s burgundy, scarlet, or plum, rock those bold lip hues with confidence!

2. Golden Bronzer

After November, we start to lose that summer glow from vacation. For that perfect healthy glow, a light dusting of bronzer under the cheekbones will do the job!

3. Goddess Cream Eyeshadow

NARS Velvet Shadow Sticks are absolutely amazing for this time of the year! They are long lasting, and won’t smudge throughout the day. The Goddess-Pink Champagne is one of my favorite shades of all time.

4. Waterproof Eyeliner

If you’re living somewhere where it rains close to 24/7 during the winter (like our lovely UW Campus in Seattle), then you know the struggle, and the Stila Smudge Stick is a must have!

5. Metallic Eyeliner

What better way to bring out that perfect winged eyeliner you worked so hard on? The sparkling metallic is subtle, but it makes a huge difference!

6. Cream Blush

The Dior Diorblush Cheek Sticks are so great for winter. A gentle blend will add color to your skin and give your cheeks a little blush.

7. Urban Decay Naked Palette

These shimmering shades are super natural and go well with either the bold red lips or sultry, neutral makeup.

8. Body Oil

If you have dry skin during the winter, it’s time to try some body oils. Unlike lotion, oils have tons of nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins. On top of that, they hold in moisture, which is just what we need during this time of year!

9. Waterproof Mascara

As far as makeup nightmares go, walking through campus with smudged panda eyes from mascara is definitely one of the worst… Like eyeliners, a good waterproof mascara is a must-have in your bag! Check out Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effet Faux Cils and Benefit BADgal Waterproof Mascaras.

Lastly, with all these beauty supplies, you gotta have a cute winter makeup bag to top off everything for the season right?
