This week’s Campus Cutie is comfortable enough in his own skin to shake it to the newest T Swift track, watch trashy teen TV, and apparently eat cat food. He came here all the way from the West Coast, even though concerts at the Pageant don’t exactly measure up to those in LA. If you want to have a deep convo, consider aliens as a topic of interest, and maybe bring the first season of 90210 into it to keep him intrigued. Ladies, Micah Gordon is single and ready to mingle, but you better act fast before Arianna Grande steals his heart.

Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

Major: Music

Minor: Film & Media Studies

Involvement on campus: ZBT, the occasional jazz piano sesh in Holmes Lounge

What’s your favorite pastime? Definitely has to do with music. Whether it’s listening to some of my favorite artists or playing the piano or using my computer.

Who was your first crush? My first crush was this girl named Tess and we were both in Kindergarten. I even wrote her love letters that she may or may not have responded to… Hopefully one day, our kindred spirits will meet again.

Current celeb crush? Arianna Grande. She can absolutely get it.

If you could have one famous person as a roommate, who would it be? Probably Larry David. Watching him go about his daily routine would be so entertaining. Also I feel like he would keep his side of the room tidy.

Do you watch any TV shows or listen to any music you’re embarrassed to admit? Well… Admit it now. On this family trip, my sister brought her iPod and all she had on it was 90210. We watched the whole first season and it was unbelievable. Also, I don’t mind listening to some T Swift on the radio or even One Direction. Nothing wrong with a good pop song.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? Probably cat food. It was a triple doggy dare so I had to do it.

What do you miss most about LA? The music scene is pretty good there. I definitely miss going to concerts regularly.

How do you make-do in STL? I don’t…

Tell me an awkward story from your childhood: One day at summer camp, everyone was in the pool and this one big counselor was launching kids out of the water.  Of course I wanted to join in on these fun activities so I stood on his shoulders and he threw me with such force that my bathing suit came right off.  I flew through the air for what felt like five minutes, very naked.  I guess my bathing suit wasn’t tied tight enough.

What’s something that absolutely blows your mind? How certain things work, like a TV. I get the basic principle but it’s still kind of insane. You could explain it to me a thousand times and I still really wouldn’t understand it. Also outer space and aliens.
